Program Version Number

Question:

How can I know the version of the program I am currently using?

Answer:

The version number can be seen from the About box.

Most of the programs provided here have the About box. To view it, if the program places an icon on Windows’ notification area, one of the menu item on popup menu should be About [Program Name]. Click this menu and the About box will be displayed.

On About box, you will find program’s version number, compiled date, along with some other information.

The version number can also be seen from the file properties. Locate the executable file for the program, one it is found, right click it and select properties. You will be able to view the version number of the program from there.
