Command Line Utilities
The following command line utilities can help you in performing automatic scheduled tasks, for example, running it by using Kana Reminder.
- Kana CDisk
This is a command line utility to open or close CD drive with tray mechanism. This program is useful if you want to create a shortcut to open or close CD drive. For example, you can use this program to create shortcut to open or close CD drive in Kana Launcher.
- Kana SendKey
This is a command line utility which can be used to send a system wide hotkey. This program is useful if you want to create a shortcut to Windows’ system wide hotkey. For example, you can use this program to create a shortcut to send WIN+L hotkeys to lock the desktop (in WinXP).
- Kana StartDelay
This program can be used to launch other program with a delay when starting that program. This program is useful when you have some programs conflict each other, especially when launched automatically with Windows. By using this program, you can arrange the sequence the programs will be launched.
- Kana Utils
This is a command line utilities that can be used to launch various Windows’ settings. This program is useful if you want to create a shortcut to open various Windows’ setting directly. For example, you can create a shortcut to access screen saver setting directly.
- Kana Virtual Drive
This is a command line utility which can be used to map a folder into drive letter. This program is similar to CDSUBST.EXE program in DOS. By using this program, you can shorthen a path to a folder and make it a root drive.
- Winamp Extension
This is a Windows command line program, which is intended to be integrated with Kana Reminder to control three functions of Winamp (increase/decrease volume, and close it). This program is useful if you want to gradually decrease the volume of Winamp before closing it. For example, you can play a music before go to sleep, and after some time, gradually decrease the volume by using Kana Reminder (by creating an entry and specifying this program in its option), then later shutdown the computer.
- WinHide
This is a command line program which can be used to hide/unhide a window base on its title. This program is useful if you do not want to see a window but cannot hide it either.
