I want to schedule my DUN connection so it will disconnect and reconnect at specified time. Can it be done with Kana Reminder?

Yes, it can.

The program to disconnect and reconnect your connection is already available and comes with Windows. The name of the program is rasphone.exe. You can use the search file function to locate the file.

All you need to do is to create new reminder entries, one to disconnect and the other to reconnect. Assign rasphone.exe as the program to be run on reminder option.

To disconnect, assign the program to run as:

• Filename: <path to rasphone.exe>rasphone.exe
• Parameter: -h "Your DUN entry name"

To reconnect, assign the program to run as:

• Filename: <path to rasphone.exe>rasphone.exe
• Parameter: -d "Your DUN entry name"

Your DUN entry name is the name of the DUN connection you want to use. It should be available inside Network and Dialup Connection or inside Dialup Networking folder.
